PANAJI: Shri Ram Sena chief Pramod Muthalik, previously banned from entering Goa for a decade, has now arrived in the state.
During his Goa visit, he met Subhash Velingkar, founder of ‘Bharatmata Ki Jai’ Sangh, in Panaji.
Goa had earlier banned entry foir Muthalik based on a report from the Superintendent of Police, North Goa, that the entry of associations/members of Sri Ram Sene and its leader Pramod Muthalik is to be prohibited as their aggressive statements and comments could hurt the feeling of certain groups and create possibility of violence and serious law and order problems.
According to the ruling, the Superintendent of Police, South Goa, prepared a report on April 18, 2014, asking for action against Muthalik, the founder and chief of Sri Ram Sene.
“It is apprehended that his communal speeches will promote enmity among various religious communities and will be prejudicial to maintenance of harmony, public peace and safety,” the complaint added.
