ANJUNA: Anjuna Police have secured six days of police custody for a 25-year-old man arrested with LSD worth nearly ₹7.9 lakh during a late-night raid in Siolim.
The accused, Sahil Manohar Korgavvkar of Korgaon–Pernem, was nabbed after police recovered 316 LSD blots weighing 6.52 grams from a red Maruti Baleno during an operation conducted near the Siolim football ground between 12:50 am and 3:40 am on December 4.
Police said the extended custody was sought to trace the supply chain, identify peddlers and receivers linked to the contraband, and verify interstate connections, if any.
The court granted six days of custody after considering the nature of the substance seized and the need for further investigation.
The case has been registered under Section 22(c) of the NDPS Act. The investigation is being supervised by SDPO Mapusa Shridevi B.V., IPS, and SP North H. Madkaikar.
