Range forest office Collem and Range Forest officer Ponda jointly conducted raid in Totodi village – Dharbandora and arrested six persons and seized 9 kg of red meat.
Officials said initially the team arrested three and the others who fled the scene surrendered late night.
Those arrested were – Sada Gaonkar (45), Geetesh Gaonkar (35), Bhanudas Gaudo (37), Rajeshwar Gaonkar (33), Suresh Gaonkar 53 and Madhu Gaudo (40).
Officials said 3 kg meat was found from houses of three accused. Also, they said, weapons and bike used in the offence were recovered.
