DABOLIM: Indian Naval Air Station INS Hansa, Dabolim has issued a public notice informing that small arms firing exercises will be conducted at the Cavelossim range on April 25, 2025.
Residents of Cavelossim and surrounding areas have been assured that there is no danger to civilian life or property, as all weapons will be fired strictly within the designated target zone of the Cavelossim firing range.
The naval authorities have requested residents not to be alarmed by the sound of gunfire during the exercise. However, as a precautionary measure, the public has been strictly prohibited from accessing the beachfront adjoining the firing range, which has been designated as a danger zone for the duration of the exercise.
Additionally, fishing boats and recreational vessels are barred from entering the area up to 2 kilometers seaward of the Cavelossim range. The Navy has urged full cooperation from locals to ensure safety during the scheduled firing activity.
