Porvorim: Goa cricketer Snehal Kauthankar has been honoured with the prestigious Madhavrao Scindia Award at the Board of Control for Cricket in India Annual Awards ceremony, Naman 2024–25.
Kauthankar earned the recognition for finishing as the highest run scorer in the Plate Group of the Ranji Trophy during the 2024–25 season. His consistent performances with the bat throughout the domestic campaign have brought significant recognition to Goa cricket.
The Goa Cricket Association congratulated the accomplished batter for the achievement and praised his dedication and discipline at the domestic level.
GCA President Mahesh Dessai described the honour as a proud moment for cricket in the state, noting that Kauthankar’s performances reflect his commitment and hard work. He said the award is a testament to the player’s consistency and determination in the Ranji Trophy and expressed confidence that the recognition will inspire him to achieve further milestones in his career.
GCA Secretary Tulsidas Shetye, along with members of the association’s managing committee, also extended their congratulations to Kauthankar. They commended his contribution to the team and wished him continued success in the coming seasons.
The award recognises outstanding performances in domestic cricket and highlights Kauthankar’s impressive run in the Ranji Trophy, where he played a key role with the bat for the Goa side. His achievement marks another significant milestone for Goa cricket at the national level.
