PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that the Directorate of Social Welfare shall now issue the Caste Certificate to the Children of Single Mothers.
“From now on, the Directorate of Social Welfare shall now issue the Caste Certificate to the Children of Single Mothers,” said CM Sawant.
He further said that this benefit can be availed by all the single mothers belonging to SC/ST/OBC.
“It is a step towards ensuring benefits to children deprived of all the facilities they deserve,” he added.
Sawant further said Goa has made progress in the field of Education, Health and Infrastructure and that the Government is marching ahead to shape Goa as an Achiever State by 2029.
“Swayampurna Goa initiative is in 2.0 version and effectively working to mobilize people for opting agricultural and other self-sustainable business activities,” he said.
He also said that Higher Education will be upgraded under the principles of National Education policy.
