Amidst rumours of possible portfolio reshuffle, Town and Country Planning (TCP) Minister Vishwajit Rane today said that the TCP portfolio was handed over to him by party’s central leadership and that ongoing criticisms are only because he has been doing good work.
Rane said that every decision taken by him as far as TCP is concerned has been within the law.
“TCP portfolio was given to me by party central leadership. I have been doing good work and hence facing criticism or allegations. I have done everything as per law,” said Rane
He further said that 950 complaints have been booked for illegal hill cutting and plotting and that not even a single permission was given by TCP department.
“These days anyone comes forward and points fingers at the TCP department. It looks like someone has an allergy that Vishwajit Rane is the TCP minister,” said Rane
Speaking further, Rane said that in response to a letter signed by approximately 30 residents of South Goa, which was submitted to me, we recognize the need for additional CCTVs, more staff, improved lighting, increased security personnel, and additional ambulances as suggested by them. These requests will be addressed and presented to the government.
“We will also propose to the government the upgrade of the hospital to a tertiary care facility and ensure more services are provided,” he added
Health Minister also said that with around 1,600 daily patient visits, it is imperative that the people of South Goa receive the best healthcare, in line with the vision of PM Narendra Modi for healthcare accessibility for all.
“The ICU is now operational, and we will seek more staff to reduce waiting times. Additionally, the Goa Development Trust, which I lead, will donate 2 ALS ambulances through CSR. I have also instructed that an additional ambulance from 108 be stationed at the hospital to enhance emergency response,” he added
Minister Rane said that his aim is to work tirelessly for the betterment of the people of Goa, ensuring they receive quality healthcare treatment.
Minister also informed that he has suspended one accounts officer GSUDA and have also ordered an enquiry and audit into the andhadhun business of the GSUDA.
“Projects are being built without any outcomes. People are now calling them substandard works. All these works were tendered before I was a minister,” he said
Speaking on allegation of MLA Anton Vas, Rane said that Bhutani or anyone else I had told Anton Vas to give a written representation regarding the same after which I promised to take action against the same but till now nobody has given me any written complaint.
