PANAJI: The Government of Goa has permitted to the use of loudspeakers or public address system during night hours (between 10.00p.m. to 12.00 midnight from November 21 to November 26, 2024 and from December 24, 2024 to December 26, and on December 31, 2024 throughout the State of Goa.
However, the permission shall be granted only on a case to case basis, in response to a specific application made by the concerned Village Panchayat, Municipal Corporation / Municipal Council or an individual or any recognized entity in the State of Goa.
The provisions of Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000 shall be strictly complied with. The concerned authority shall monitor the noise levels during the permitted festive occasion and other occasions also, and take prompt remedial action in the event of any violation of the same and of this condition.
