As per the data, a total of 878 crime cases were registered in South Goa during 2025, slightly higher than the 865 cases reported in the corresponding period of 2024. Serious crimes such as murder and attempt to murder remained largely stable, with 12 murder cases and 13 attempt-to-murder cases reported in 2025, almost on par with 2024 figures. Rape cases, however, showed a decline, with 40 cases registered in 2025 compared to 44 in the previous year.
Property-related offences reflected a mixed trend. Auto theft cases saw a notable increase, rising to 59 in 2025 from 44 in 2024. House theft cases remained unchanged at 16, while other theft cases increased significantly to 52 from 38 last year. Police also reported recovery of stolen property in several cases during the year.

In terms of road safety, fatal accidents showed a significant reduction, dropping to 74 in 2025 from 90 in 2024. Other accident-related cases remained almost unchanged during the year.
