BENAULIM: As part of the nationwide celebrations for India’s 79th Independence Day, the Southern Command of the Indian Army will present a stirring military band performance at Benaulim Beach on August 15 from 6:30 pm onwards.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Defence in coordination with the Armed Forces, CAPFs and NCC, aims to honour the valour of freedom fighters and inspire patriotic fervour among citizens.
In Goa, the No. 2 Pipes & Drums Band of HQ 2 Signal Training Centre will perform martial music, patriotic tunes, and classic melodies narrating India’s freedom struggle and progress as a rising power.
The Army’s Southern Command is simultaneously staging performances at eight key locations across South India, showcasing its rich musical heritage and strengthening bonds with citizens.
These performances are part of the Army’s broader effort to connect with the public, reflecting its evolution into a modern, agile force guided by the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, and its ethos of service before self.
