PANAJI: Sporting Club Davorlim booked their place in the quarterfinals of the 33rd St. Rock’s Super Soccer Tournament with a thrilling 4–2 win over St. Anthony Colva via a tiebreaker. The tournament is being organised by St. Rock Youth Club, Calata Majorda, and is being played at the Majorda Ground.
The match ended 1–1 in regulation time. Calsburn Fernandes gave St. Anthony Colva the lead in the 40th minute, but Alent Colaco equalised for Davorlim in the 56th minute to send the game into a penalty shootout.
In the decisive tiebreaker, Davorlim held their nerve, converting through Milton Colaco, Aeron Figueredo, and Prince Figueredo. For Colva, only Kabir Khan managed to find the net.
Melchior Miranda of Sporting Club Davorlim was adjudged Man of the Match and received his award from Rocky D’Silva.
