VASCO: The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Goa, will organise the Sri Sathya Sai Unity Run – Goa on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Ravindra Bhavan, Vasco (Baina), with over 2,000 participants expected to take part in the event aimed at promoting unity, physical fitness and values-based living.
The Unity Run, held nationwide, draws inspiration from the message of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, centred on unity, love and selfless service, and is in line with the spirit of the Fit India Movement. Organisers said the event seeks to bring people from all walks of life together through a shared commitment to health and harmony.
Students, youth, families and working professionals from across Goa are expected to participate in the run, making it one of the largest community fitness initiatives in the region. The event will be conducted as a non-competitive run, ensuring inclusivity and encouraging participation without the pressure of rankings or prizes.
Participants can choose from three categories — 5 km, 3 km and 1 km — allowing people of all age groups and fitness levels to be part of the initiative. Organisers said the focus of the Unity Run is not speed or competition, but collective participation and the joy of running together for a common cause.
“The Unity Run is a celebration of togetherness. It is meant to inspire citizens to come together and experience the true spirit of unity through fitness,” organisers said, adding that the event also aims to reinforce values such as discipline, compassion and selfless service in daily life.
The organisers noted that events like the Unity Run play an important role in building healthier communities while strengthening social bonds. “When people run together, barriers dissolve and a sense of oneness develops. That is the essence of this initiative,” they said.
The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Goa, have appealed to citizens to participate in large numbers and make the event a success. Arrangements have been made to ensure a safe and smooth conduct of the run, with volunteers deployed along the route and at the venue.
The Unity Run is expected to conclude with a brief gathering, reinforcing the message of unity and collective well-being, as participants come together to celebrate fitness, harmony and shared human values.
