MAPUSA: The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Department of Saraswat Education Society’s Sridora Caculo College of Commerce and Management Studies extended a warm welcome to its incoming first-year students through a vibrant and inspiring orientation programme held on June 23, 2025. The event was attended by students, parents, faculty, and dignitaries, marking the formal beginning of the academic year.
The programme commenced with a graceful welcome dance and an introduction video that set the tone for the event. Dignitaries including Shri Rupesh Kamat, Chairman of Saraswat Education Society; Ms. Smruti Borkar, Vice Principal; and Mr. Sahil Nayak, BBA Course Coordinator, were ceremoniously escorted to the dais, followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp.
Vice Principal Ms. Smruti Borkar welcomed the gathering with an address that encouraged students to embrace the journey ahead. Ms. Bhagyalaxmi Khedekar introduced the Chairman, after which a floral welcome was extended. In his keynote address, Shri Rupesh Kamat emphasized the importance of entrepreneurial thinking, continuous skill development, and staying adaptable in today’s evolving business world.
Mr. Sahil Nayak, Head of the BBA Department, delivered a detailed orientation presentation that highlighted the course structure and encouraged students to translate academic learning into innovative real-world applications. The formal session concluded with an inspiring message from the dignitaries before they joined the audience for the remainder of the event.
The informal session was filled with enthusiasm, beginning with a lively dance performance by senior students. An engaging ice-breaker activity followed, helping the freshers interact and build connections. The outro video reflected the dynamic spirit of the department, and the event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Student Event Coordinator Mr. Zaid Khan.
The programme ended on a high note with a group photograph of the new batch alongside faculty members, symbolizing the start of a promising academic journey at Sridora Caculo College.
