CANACONA: St. Anne’s Institute, Agonda, emerged victorious at the 14th Fr. Alvim Esteves Memorial Taluka-level Inter-School Quiz contest, organized by the management and PTA of the institute.
Eighteen high schools competed across four rounds—General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Sports, and Rapid Fire. After a closely contested battle, St. Anne’s Institute claimed first place, while St. Francis Xavier H/S, Bhatpal, and Shri Mallikarjun Vidyalaya H/S, Char-Rasta secured second and third positions, respectively.
Rev. Fr. Wilson Paul, Provincial Treasurer of Pilar Society, was the chief guest, while former St. Anne’s teacher Ms. Janet Fernandes was the guest of honor. Also present were St. Anne’s Institute Manager Rev. Fr. Patrick Luis, Headmaster Cedric Monteiro, and PTA Chairman Abel Tome Borges.
The quiz highlighted students’ knowledge, quick thinking, and team spirit, marking another successful edition of the memorial event.
