PANAJI: Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade has confirmed that the Scheduled Tribes (ST) Bill will be tabled for discussion and approval during the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament.
Speaking on Thursday, Tanavade explained that the Bill could not be taken up in the recently concluded Parliament session due to a busy agenda, which included the passage of several significant legislations. Among them was the Waqf Board Bill, which was prioritized and passed as it dealt with pressing national concerns.
“The ST Bill is no less important,” Tanavade emphasized. “There were no objections raised against it, and I am confident it will be cleared during the Monsoon Session.”
Tanavade’s assurance comes as anticipation builds over the Bill, which seeks to address key issues related to the Scheduled Tribes community.
