Panaji: Students of St Clara’s High School, Assonora, delivered a remarkable performance at the 8th All Goa State Wushu Championship, securing a total of ten medals and bringing pride to their institution. The young athletes claimed two gold, two silver and six bronze medals through confident and disciplined displays.
The championship saw participation from numerous schools and clubs across Goa, providing a strong platform for emerging talent in the martial art. Competitors demonstrated technique, agility and sportsmanship, making the event highly competitive. Among them, the representatives from St Clara’s High School stood out for their consistent effort and fighting spirit in different categories.
The medal winners received appreciation from the school management and sports mentors for their achievement. The head mistress, along with the physical education teacher and officials from the state Wushu association, congratulated the students and acknowledged the dedication they had shown during training and competition. The role of coaches and support staff was also highlighted for providing proper guidance and motivation to the athletes.
School authorities stated that the success reflects the institution’s commitment to promoting holistic development. Equal importance is given to academics and physical activities so that students can explore their abilities beyond the classroom. Regular training sessions and participation in tournaments have helped build confidence and discipline among the learners.
