MAPUSA: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa, is organising a National Level Faculty Development Programme from October 22 to 26, 2024. The Programme will explore an array of subjects through a series of intellectually stimulating sessions led by distinguished experts from diverse fields, including Indian Knowledge Systems, Value Education, Teaching Pedagogy, Research, Physical & Mental Well Being and Climate Change.
The programme will commence with ‘Weaving Stories of Goan Art and Culture: The Kunbi Sari’ by Architect Pritha Sardessai, a member of the Goa Heritage Action Group, followed by Mr. Sagar Ram Sakordekar, founder of the SRS Vedic Mathematics Academy, Mangeshi, who will speak on ‘Unlocking Mathematical Insights Through Vedic Wisdom’. Dr. Maryanne Christine V. Borges e Lobo, co-founder of Plants walk Goa and a Food Studies Specialist, will delve on ‘Nature’s Wisdom: Unveiling Ayurveda’s Secrets for Well-Being’.
A session on ‘Value Education for Shaping Character and Inspiring Young Minds’ will be delivered by Dr. Arloph Johnvieira, Senior General Manager, Operations, at Bajaj Healthcare Limited, Mumbai. ‘Pedagogical Approaches in Higher Education’ by Dr. Niradhar Dey, Associate Professor, School of Education, Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. ‘Research for Academic Excellence and Unleashing Potential’ by Dr. Amit Yalgi, Lead Trainer at Bajaj Finserv and Proprietor of Optimistic Learning, Bangalore. ‘Circular Economy Strategies for Combating Climate Change’ by Dr. Ashwini Pai Panandikar, Fellow and Consultant at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and ‘From Stress to Serenity: A Journey to Wellness’, will be conducted by Prof. Sanjeev Sawardekar, Vivekananda Foundation of Goa, Yoga Group.
