The GPCC urged Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant to ensure that immediate medical and financial assistance is provided to the victims and their families. It also called on the state government to support the Devasthan Committee in managing the remainder of the Lairaee Jatra safely.
“With lakhs of devotees gathering in Shirgao for the sacred Kaul of Devi, it is imperative that adequate safety, crowd management, and emergency response mechanisms are enforced,” the GPCC stated.
