Panaji: The State Government has ussued SOP on preventive measures to contain spread of COVID-19 in the State of Goa for domestic Air travel & Railway passemgers arriving in Goa.
The order says in view of spread of COVID-19 due to the increasing cases of Covid- 19 in other States of India and the likely risk to public health and safety, the State Executive Committee has adopted the following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for persons travelling to Gon by Air & Trains with effect from 25.11.2020 for strict implementation:
“In the emergent scenario of new wave of Covid-19 in many States, all the incoming passengers at the airport and the railway stations within Goa will be subjected to compulsory thermal scanning,” the order reads.
It further says only those who pass through such screening may go home/to their destination.
“Passengers with body temperature beyond acceptable range will be sent for Covid test on basis (Rs. 2000/- per individual). Further course of action will be as per the prescribed protocol of Health Department,” it says.
Persons travelling from Goa to Maharashtra by Road, Railway and Air and who are desirous to obtain RT-PCR negative test report from the Health Authorities may do so after paying Rs. 2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only with reference to Order and SOP issued by Maharashtra Government dated 23.11.2020.
Further, passengers who willingly opt for Covid test on the arrival at the airport and railway station in Goa shall pay Rs. 2,000/-(Rupees Two Thousand Only).
