Mapusa: The State Judo Championship 2024-25, organized by the Goa Judo Association, concluded on a high note at the Peddem Sports Complex in Mapusa. The two-day event witnessed fierce competition, with young judokas from across the state showcasing their talent, determination, and sportsmanship.
“The State Judo Championship 2024-25 has been a remarkable showcase of talent, dedication, and sportsmanship. The level of competition displayed by our judokas reflects the growing interest and commitment towards the sport in Goa. Congratulations to all the winners and participants for their outstanding performances. We remain committed to providing a platform for young athletes to excel and represent the state at higher levels,” stated Girish Pednekar, President, Goa Judo Association.
The championship featured categories for Sub-Junior Boys and Girls (Under 10 and Under 12), Junior Boys and Girls (Under 15), as well as Senior Men and Women.
While the Secretary of the Goa Judo Association, Kripesh Vengurlekar extended his gratitude to all participating athletes, coaches, and organizers for their contribution to the success of the event.
The Goa Judo Association continues its commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting the sport of judo in the state.
