Porvorim: Police have registered a case against a store manager of a footwear showroom in Porvorim for allegedly misappropriating company stock worth ₹73,475.
The complaint, lodged by Dinesh Jagannath Patel, L&P Manager of UK Multi Corp at Skechers Shop, Chogm Road, Porvorim, alleged that between July 24, 2024, and March 11, 2025, accused Prem Verma, 35, of Candolim, dishonestly took 25 units of goods — including accessories, apparel, and footwear — from the store’s stock.
Verma, employed as the store manager, was entrusted with showroom accounts, sales, and stock management. Police said the alleged act amounted to criminal breach of trust.
The case is being investigated by PSI Pratik Tulaska.
