PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit said that his efforts in strengthening emergency response systems have been crucial in saving lives.
Recently, CCA Mapusa received a call for an IFT case of a 48-year-old male with ACS at Asilo Hospital.
Just before shifting, the patient collapsed, but our team acted swiftly—initiating CPR with Asilo medical officers. After 15 cycles, he was revived and immediately intubated, though he continued to experience pulmonary edema.
Managing his condition with suctioning, shocks, adrenaline, and amiodarone, the team ensured his vitals stabilized. With ventilation support and continuous monitoring during transit, his saturation improved to 76%, and his pulse strengthened.
EMT A Alton Fernandes and pilot Prakash Sawant ensured his safe and stable arrival at GMC for further care.
“As part of our commitment, it is our priority to provide the best emergency medical care to Goans,” he added
