PANAJI: The Students Council of Guardian Angel Higher Secondary School, Curchorem for the academic year 2024-25 was installed at the hands of the Chief Guest Aurora D’Souza, headmistress of St Thomas High School Cansaulim.
She administered the oath of office to the newly inducted 36 council members and later pinned badges and offered a flower to each of them. While addressing the students she shared her experiences as an ex-student of Guardian Angel Higher Secondary School and inspired the members to be good leaders.
To recognise the talents and encourage the budding music talent of the students, the Chief guest sang a Konkani Classic with her melodious voice. After inaugurating the Performing Arts club of the school followed by students performance of a choral of artistic items comprising of a goan folk song and a vibrant rendition of a Saxophone composition by Ronneber accompanied by the Keyboard player Wavel..
Senior Teacher Synthia Rebello, Sir Girish Chodankar, Tr. AudreyFernandes and Sir Joquim Fernandes were present on the dais. Valencia Fernandes of std XII Arts was the compere and Astang of XII Science and Sardika of XII Computer. Technique shared previous years’ experiences as the council members and later Velaska of XI Arts proposed the vote of thanks.
