Panaji : Aam Aadmi Party noted with disgust that schools have started on line today but with the same problems that were prevalent last year and the BJP government has done nothing to rectify the position in the last one year.
AAP convener Rahul Mhambre pointed out that in Sattari and other remote places in Goa, connectivity continues to be a problem and hence students cannot participate in the online classes.
“This problem was there last year also and chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant had promised to install broadband connectivity in remote areas so students could participate in the classes,” however he lamented that nothing was done for one year and the same problem continues.
Rahul asked how the children in remote areas are supposed to attend the classes and what the government was doing for them. He demanded that the connectivity in these remote areas be improved immediately so that the children can participate in their classes.
“Right to education is a fundamental right and the children should have access to the classes,” he said while lamenting that the BJP government has totally failed to cater to the needs of the younger generation.
