PANAJI: Education Department has institutions across the state to send details of the students who have been orphaned or lost either of their parent to COVID-19 pandemic.
Education Department has asked institutions to submit data by June 7.
“Due to sudden rise in Covid-19 cases recently, many children who have been orphaned or have lost either of the parent due to the Pandemic. Institutions should send data on the same by June 7,” said Education Department in a circular
The department has said that the the service providers might find it challenging to support children in institutions with psychosocial and mental health care needs, on these lines the National Commission of Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) New Delhi have asked the department to submit the information to be uploaded on the “Baal Swaraj Portal”.
