BAMBOLIM: According to Goa Medical College’s (GMC) report to Goa police, Suchana Seth, a data scientist and startup founder from Bengaluru who is accused of killing her four-year-old kid in Candolim earlier this year, does not have mental health problems.
Following testing, GMC emailed the digital electroencephalogram (EEG) result to the Calangute police. Clinical neurophysiologist Dr. Shilpa Dessai stated, “The sleep-deprived awake and drowsy record doesn’t show any focal or generalised epileptiform discharges.”
Prior to this, Seth’s father filed an application with the Goa children’s court asking for a directive to the police to have her evaluated by a civil surgeon or medical board to determine her state of mental health.
Suchana Seth has been booked under Sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of office) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act.
