PONDA: MGP Chief Sudin Dhavalikar today said that he ready to forge an alliance BJP provided they give his party 12 constituencies.
“The discussion of alliance is possible only if the BJP agrees to share 12 constituencies with MGP. Nitin Gadkari is my good friend and he has called me for a meeting tomorrow,” said Dhavalikar
Dhavaikar’s statement came one day before the scheduled visit of BJP leader and union minister Nitin Gadkari, who has a good personal equation with Dhavalikar.
He further said that the party has already started work in 12 constituencies and in next fortnight, another six to seven more candidates would be finalized.
“We are firm on contesting in 16 seats. We won’t compromise on it. In the remaining 24 seats, we can either support individuals or candidates of regional parties,” he said.
Sudin said that the party has its work in 12 constituencies where it will field the candidates, but the number can go up to 24.
Dhavalikar also said the party will promote young leaders in all constituencies and added that they will work under the guidance of the senior leaders of MGP.
