MARGAO: Goa Police in Kerala successfully apprehend fugitive land fraudster Suleman Siddiqui Khan exactly ten days after he broke out of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) detention.
This development was made public by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in a jab at opposition leaders who had blamed the police for Khan’s December 13 escape.
“I had told the people of Goa to have faith in the police and government. Suleman has been taken into custody in Kerala, and today, after fulfilling all legal requirements, he will be transported to Goa, Sawant told reporters.
The CM further attacked the opposition, saying that they were acting like “bhakts” (followers) by spreading Khan’s picture. S
awant said that the truth will come out when Khan was questioned in response to the recently circulated video in which Suleman claimed that AAP President Amit Palekar had forced him to make a film accusing government politicians and police officers of being responsible for his escape.
The administration has always thought the video was stage-managed, Sawant further suggested.
