Panaji: The organisers of Sunburn 2024 and the Bryan Adams concert in December last year owe the Goa Police more than ₹63 lakh for security services, according to information.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant informed that the bill for Sunburn 2024 amounted to ₹72,71,443, of which ₹20 lakh has been paid, leaving a balance of ₹52,71,443. The bills were raised on December 27, 2024, and February 4, 2025, with reminders issued on both dates.
Similarly, the Bryan Adams concert held on December 17, 2024, has an outstanding payment of ₹10,88,432. Bills were raised on December 16, 2024, and January 30, 2025, but no payment has been made despite reminders on January 30 and March 27, 2025.
The disclosure came in response to a question by Opposition leader Yuri Alemao on drug cases and financial dues linked to electronic dance music (EDM) festivals and other large-scale events in Goa.
