Panaji: In a move set to revolutionise football training in Goa, Super 30 Soccer Schools and Super Goan Football Club have officially partnered with Bengaluru FC (BFC), one of India’s premier football clubs.
This collaboration aims to elevate the standard of football training in the state and provide young Goan talent with unparalleled opportunities to reach the highest levels of the sport.
Ricardo Cardozo, Founder of Super 30 Soccer Schools, has long drawn inspiration from his tenure at Bengaluru FC, and this collaboration marks the realisation of his vision to bring BFC’s professionalism, discipline, and excellence to the Goan football scene. The alignment of colours and philosophies between both organisations symbolises their shared goals.
Cardozo has been instrumental in advancing football in Goa. As an integral part of Bengaluru FC during its formative years, Ricardo contributed significantly to the club’s early successes. His deep-rooted connection with BFC and passion for nurturing young talent have laid a robust foundation for this historic partnership.
“As part of this partnership, Super 30 Soccer Schools will adopt Bengaluru FC’s world-class training programmes, including their values, schedules, and coaching methodologies. The collaboration will enhance the training regimen by leveraging Bengaluru FC’s expertise in high-performance coaching, specifically designed for youth players aspiring to excel at the highest levels,” said Cardozo.
To further this objective, trials will be hosted in Goa for entry into Bengaluru FC and the prestigious JSW BFC Academy in Bellary. These trials will provide young players with a unique opportunity to showcase their talents and advance their football careers. Additionally, BFC coaches will regularly visit Super 30 Soccer Schools to scout for talent and provide elite coaching education.
Super 30 will offer first preference to BFC’s youth teams, ensuring promising players have a direct pathway to one of India’s leading football clubs.
This partnership fosters a strong mutual connection between the academy and the club, with a shared commitment to developing football talent and contributing significantly to the betterment of the sport in India through shared resources and expertise.
Darren Caldeira, Director of Football at JSW Bengaluru FC, stated, “Our aim as a football club has always been to give as many children as possible the opportunity to pursue the sport in a professional manner, and this association with Super 30 Soccer Schools and Super Goan Football Club is another step in that direction. Our partner programmes in Bengaluru, Pune, and Mumbai have seen tremendous success over the years, and I am sure that we will see the same in Goa.”
Under Ricardo’s leadership, Super 30 Soccer Schools has emerged as a formidable force in Goan football, with established centres in Candolim and Nagoa-Arpora, and upcoming expansions in Siolim and Panaji. His unwavering commitment aims to create opportunities for Goan players to train at elite levels and secure positions in top clubs nationally and internationally.
Blaize Fernandes, Sarpanch of Candolim panchayat, expressed his excitement: “This move will create tremendous opportunities for the players of Candolim. It provides a clear pathway for our local talent to develop and ascend through the ranks to reach the highest levels of football. We are excited to witness the positive impact this collaboration will have on our community.”
Former Sarpanch of Arpora-Nagoa panchayat Krishna Nagrekar, said, “This is a landmark development for Super Goan Football Club and Super 30 Soccer Schools. The community has eagerly awaited such an initiative, and seeing it come to fruition is truly gratifying. This collaboration promises to elevate football in our region to new heights.”
Aman Lotlikar, a well-known social worker, politician, and proud Super 30 parent from Thivim, shared his thoughts: “It’s been a long wait for Goa to have a football academy where kids can both enjoy the game and hone their skills, and Super 30 Soccer Schools has fulfilled that need beautifully. I vividly remember August 15, 2019, when Coach Ricardo began this incredible journey, and my son Vihaan attended his first session. Today, witnessing the academy collaborate with the esteemed Bengaluru FC fills me with immense pride. I wholeheartedly congratulate Ricardo and wish Super 30 continued success in this exciting new chapter.”
All partners, collaborators, and sponsors express profound enthusiasm and support for this strategic alliance. They share in the excitement of witnessing the evolution of Bengaluru FC and Super 30 in Goa, recognising the collaboration’s potential to bring about significant positive transformations in the region’s football landscape.
This tie-up heralds a new era for football in Goa, offering young players access to a professional training environment that can propel them to national and international success. The partnership between Super 30 Soccer Schools, Super Goan Football Club, and Bengaluru FC stands as a testament to their commitment to fostering excellence and nurturing talent in Indian football.
