BICHOLIM: The President of IMA Bicholim, Dr. Shekhar Salkar, on Wednesday submitted the Swasth Police, Sasakhth Police wellness report 2025 to DGP Goa, Alok Kumar, in the presence of Inspector General of Police Keshav Ram Chaurasia, IPS officer Jones Samuel, PRO of Vianaar and Dr. Devdutt Sail, Secretary of TSI Goa.
The report highlighted that 14 police stations across North Goa have been equipped with health screening kiosks, with more than 1,200 police personnel screened so far. The findings revealed cases of hypertension, obesity and prediabetes among some personnel. To address these concerns, a well-defined lifestyle modification and nutrition programme will soon be implemented for the force.
Jointly led by Goa Police, TSI Goa, IMA Bicholim and Vianaar, the initiative is being seen as a pioneering step towards building a healthier and stronger police force in the state.
