CANACONA: Panchayat Sweepers were provided with Uniforms, school students were given prizes at a special program and cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat campaign at Sristhal panchayat.
The Directorate of Panchayat organized a program in Shristhal Panchayat under its Swachh Bharat Mission on Information, Education and Communication.The program was organized in collaboration with Panchayat body, Biodiversity Management Committee, Village Development Committee and other committees in the village.
In a road show, cleanliness drive was held at Mokhard and Khalwadem and uniforms were distributed to the sweepers garbage workers.
Earlier, Sakshi Tiker, a staff of the Panchayat Department, was present at the initial program, she gave detailed information about the program.
Shrishthal Sarpanch Sejal Gaonkar first welcomed and flagged off road show by showing the flag.
Uniforms were distributed to the sweepers at their hands.
The function was moderated by Shirish Pai. After the function, garbage lying on the side of the road was collected in two wards at Mokhard and Khalwade under the cleanliness campaign
Prizes were given to the winners of essay writing and painting competition held earlier for high school students.
Panchas Ganesh Gaonkar and Ramu Naik, Panchayat Secretary Sushant Lolyekar, Biodiversity Management Committee Chairman Vinay Tubki, Members Damodar Chiri, Shirish Pai, Tejas Naik Gaonkar, Panchayat Samiti Members Amar Naik Gaonkar, Vandana Bhandari, Ulhas Naik, Sharvil Velip, Rahul Devidas, Puno Gaonkar and Rajendra Gaonkar and Painginim Panchayat Panch Mahesh Naik were present.-
