New Delhi:
In a fervent address to BJP booth-level workers in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi outlined a strategic plan to highlight the shortcomings of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. On January 22, during the ‘Mera Booth Sabse Mazboot’ program, Modi emphasized the need for BJP workers to document and share evidence of the AAP’s failures in providing basic amenities.
Modi instructed the workers to capture images and videos of broken drains, garbage heaps, and areas with dirty water, and to share these with the public, including the specific locations. “You should take pictures of every street in your booth, make videos where dirty water is flowing, drains are broken, and there are heaps of garbage. Share these pictures with people along with the location,” he said.
The Prime Minister stressed that the primary goal is to form a BJP government in Delhi, which he believes is essential for freeing the city from the problems created by the AAP. “We have to remember that the biggest goal is to form a BJP government. We have to free Delhi from the troubles and problems that AAP has put it in. Only when this happens will the resolution to make Delhi the developed capital of a developed India be fulfilled,” Modi added.
Modi also criticized both the AAP and the Congress for betraying the people of Delhi. “The people of Delhi are now fed up with AAP’s lies and deceit. First, the Congress and then AAP have betrayed the people of Delhi a lot,” he said. He highlighted that the BJP has always considered the middle class as the backbone of the country’s economy and has worked to address their aspirations by providing modern facilities in education and health.
“The Government of India today spends a significant budget for the ease of living and travel of the middle class in Delhi. We have addressed the aspirations of the middle class of Delhi. Today, the metro has reached every nook and corner of Delhi, and there is a network of national highways and expressways,” Modi explained.
Taking a swipe at AAP, Modi noted that while it took seven decades for the Congress to accumulate its flaws, AAP managed to inherit and exacerbate these issues in a much shorter period. “These AAP people are two steps ahead of Congress. It took seven decades for destruction and evil to come into Congress. But AAP took just seven months to inherit all the evils and now, in the last nine years, they have doubled those evils.”
Thousands of BJP workers across 256 mandals, 70 assembly constituencies, and 13,000 booths participated in the interaction. The Delhi assembly elections are scheduled for February 5, with the vote count set for February 8. The contest is expected to be a three-way battle between the ruling AAP, BJP, and Congress.
