PANAJI: Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade has been nominated as the Chairman of the Consultative Committee of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) for Goa by the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India.
In response to his nomination, Tanavade extended heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President J. P. Nadda, and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Shri Kiren Rijiju for their trust and support.
“This is a significant responsibility, and I am humbled by the confidence shown in me. I will work with full dedication to strengthen food distribution systems and ensure food security in Goa,” Tanavade said.
The Consultative Committee of FCI serves a key advisory role, focusing on policies and implementation strategies for food procurement, storage, and distribution under the Central Government’s Public Distribution System (PDS).
Tanavade reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of the people of Goa and assured that he will continue to represent the state’s interests with sincerity and dedication at the national level.
