PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today expressed confidence that Sadanand Tanavade will comfortably win the Rajya Sabha seat from Goa with the support of 33 MLAs.
“We have the numbers with us. Our strength is 33, which is BJP+MGP+IND. I am confident that Tanavade will win the RS Goa seat, and I congratulate him in advance,” said Sawant.
He further urged the Opposition to support the BJP candidate for RS polls.
“We urge the Opposition to support our candidate for RS polls,” he added.
Sawant said that 28 MLAs from BJP, 3 Independents and 2 MGP MLAs were present for the filing of nominations
“I am sure that Tanavade will RS polls with Majority,” he said.
