PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that BJP has now been emerging in South Indian states with the party opening its account in Kerala.
CM Sawant was addressing the media after launching the BJP membership drive in Goa in the presence of BJP Goa President Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Union Minister Shripad Naik.
“The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was always thought to be primarily focused on North India, but it is now also becoming more visible in Southern regions. Kerala has seen the BJP establish a presence there,” said Sawant.
He further said that BJP targets 5 lakh members in Goa, increasing the tally from 4 lakh during the last membership drive.
“I have officially received my Sadasyata Certificate, marking my membership in the world’s largest political party,” he added.
Sawant also urged Goans to join this incredible journey toward building a stronger and developed India by giving a missed call to 88 00 00 2024 and becoming a part of the BJP for Viksit Bharat movement.
“This membership is a commitment to our nation’s future,” he added.
BJP Goa President Sadanand Tanavade said that the first phase of the drive would be over by September 25 and the entire process to end by October after which there will be elections at various levels.
“The two central leaders, Vinod Tawde, who is the all-India membership in-charge and Ashish Sood, our new prabhari, recently came to review the primary membership process.
