CANACONA: Minister for Sports, Tribal Welfare and Art & Culture, and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar, along with BJP Goa Pradesh President Damu Naik, chaired a meeting of Booth Level Agents (BLAs) of the Canacona constituency to review the progress and chalk out strategies for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The meeting was held at Ravindra Bhavan, Canacona.
Inaugurating the meet by lighting the traditional lamp, Minister Ramesh Tawadkar emphasized that the session was not merely a review but a step toward formulating a structured action plan.
“Today’s meeting is not merely a review session but a step towards developing a structured action plan. If each booth functions systematically and efficiently, the Special Intensive Revision Drive will surely be a success,” Tawadkar said.
Highlighting the critical role of ground-level workers, he added, “Booth Level Agents are the backbone of the party, and they must work sincerely at the grassroots level to ensure accurate voter registration.”
BJP President Damu Naik underscored the importance of maintaining accuracy in the voter lists, stating, “An error-free voter list will play a crucial role in the upcoming elections. Every BLA should verify details at their respective booths, ensuring proper addition, correction, or deletion of voter names.”
BJP State General Secretary Sarvanand Bhagat guided participants on the technical and procedural aspects of the SIR Drive, stressing that “timely and coordinated efforts at each booth will help eliminate errors and strengthen the democratic process.”
The meeting also discussed booth-level coordination, awareness campaigns for voter registration, and mechanisms for real-time feedback during the revision process. BLAs and office bearers of the Canacona constituency resolved to work in unison to ensure the successful completion of the voter revision process.
