PANAJI: Minister for Art and Culture, Ramesh Tawadkar, held a meeting with members of the Kala Rakhonn Mandd delegation to deliberate on issues concerning the Kala Academy and related cultural matters.
During the discussion, the delegation apprised the Minister of their concerns regarding the management and accessibility of the Kala Academy’s facilities.
Minister Tawadkar clarified that administrative authority over the institution rests with Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, who also serves as its Chairman.
He further informed the delegation that they should seek an appointment with the Chief Minister to present their views directly.
Tawadkar reiterated that the State Government remains committed to ensuring that the Kala Academy’s resources and infrastructure are effectively utilized for the benefit of Goan artists and the general public.
