Taxi operators gather at Lobo’s residence; demand scrapping of Goa Miles

PARRA: Tourist taxi operators today gathered in large numbers outside the residence of minister Micheal Lobo demanding scrapping of app based taxi service Goa Miles.

“If Micheal Lobo is with the taxi operators why is action not taken?? We want Goa Miles to be scrapped,” said operators

They alleged that Lobo had just making statements after statement on supporting us but nothing is being in reality.

“Today we are making a statement one final time that all the taxi operators are not supporting Lobo and we will not be supporting him any more,” they said

Taxi operators also said that Lobo has done nothing for the operators in Goa, no package has been given to us.

“if Micheal is with us he should immediately scrap Goa miles and we assure him that we will be with him and support him in the Elections,” operators said

Meanwhile, Lobo reacting to the situation said that he was fully with each and every taxi operator and he will speak to CM Sawant.

“Goa miles cannot be scrapped, but on the other side their issue needs to sorted at the earliest,” said Lobo

It’s been many times that digital meters tender has been scrapped.
