TCP board approved the draft ODP for Mormugao in its 172nd board meeting held today. The draft will be notified and kept open for public suggestion for 60 days, informed Dy CM and TCP Minister Babu Kavlekar. TCP also granted approval to include some parts of Old Goa into Greater Panaji PDA(GPPDA) as per the request of the Old Goa Panchayat. “Public will be given 60 days time to raise objects and give suggestions in this regards too,” informed Kavlekar.
Total 46 application for change of Zone under Section 16 B of TCP Act came before the Town & Country Planning Board today. Four of these applications have been rejected, 21 applications for zone conversion of land area below 500 sq mtrs and 14 applications of areas above 500 sq mtr but below 1000 sq mtrs have been considered informed Dy CM and TCP Minister Babu Kavlekar. “Today’s is the 9th meeting of the present TCP board. All through we have given preference for applications seeking conversion of smaller areas below 500 sq mtrs,” asserted Kavlekar.
