MAPUSA: A case has been registered after a theft of used sulphuric acid was reported at GKB Ophthalmic Ltd. in the Thivim Industrial Estate.
According to the complaint lodged by Mr. Cedric Lobo, Senior Manager (HR & Administration) of the company, the incident occurred between June 28 and June 30. The accused, identified as Nilesh Gajanan Dessai from Dabiwadi, Kalane in Dodamargh, Sindhudurg (Maharashtra), was employed in the housekeeping section of the company.
He is alleged to have stolen a can containing 20 litres of used sulphuric acid that was stored within the company premises. Police have registered the complaint and said that investigation in the matter is in progress.
