MAPUSA: Thieves have yet again targeted Dev Bodgeshwar Devasthan in Mapusa by breaking the opening donation box.
As per information, a gang of thieves in the wee hours of Monday managed to get hold of the watchman on duty, later broke open the donation box and fleed with cash.
Information reveals that a devotee saw the watchman tied up and immediately alerted the police and the temple committee.
Mapusa Police who reached the spot have started their investigation.
The Mapusa Police responded promptly to the complaint filed at Mapusa Police Station under CR. No. 37/2004, invoked sections 279, 427, and 34 of the IPC, intensifying efforts to bring the culprits to justice.
Earlier, On February 28, 2024, both Sagar Harichandra Shinde and Anand Shivas Naik were arrested by the diligent staff of Mapusa Police Station. The stolen cash was successfully recovered from the possession of the accused.
