NEW VADDEM: The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has arrested a third individual in connection with the recent seizure of hydroponic cannabis valued at ₹17 lakh. The accused, Nilesh Dhuri, 26, a resident of New Vaddem, was arrested on Wednesday and has been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody.
This development follows a raid earlier in the week at the New Patto bus stand in Panaji, where two others—Raviraj Rivonkar, 26, from Verna, and Lingu Donur, 35, from Margao—were detained.
During the operation, ANC officers recovered 170 grams of hydroponic weed and seized a Skoda car reportedly used by the suspects for drug distribution. Officials believe the trio is part of a wider network, and further investigation is underway to trace additional links in the supply chain.
Authorities have indicated that more arrests could follow as the probe deepens.
