PONDA: Ponda Police have registered a case against three men for allegedly abducting and brutally assaulting a youth at Old Bus Stand, Ponda.
The complaint was lodged by Ganesh Tudu, a resident of Tisk, Ponda and originally from West Bengal. Tudu alleged that on September 5 at around 8 PM, the accused — identified as Amay Naik of Madkai, Pritesh Kamat of Dabolim-Shiroda, and Devendra Shelapkar alias Dilu of Marcel — forcibly took him into a bus and later to a spot near the Ponda Fire Station.
There, they allegedly assaulted him with kicks, fist blows, and slaps, including on his private parts, causing him serious injuries. The complainant further stated that accused Amay Naik threatened to kill him.
Police have registered the case and further investigation is being conducted by PSI Chetan Naik of Ponda Police Station.
