VASCO: A property inspection by the Mormugao Municipal Authority turned violent at New Vaddem, Vasco, when three individuals allegedly abused and assaulted a Ponda resident.
Complainant Sandesh Shet reported to the police that on Tuesday around 4 p.m., the accused — identified as Vinay Volvoikar, Sulochana Volvoikar, and Pradeep Volvoikar, all residents of Vasco — confronted him during the inspection.
According to the complaint, the trio hurled filthy abuses, after which Vinay Volvoikar allegedly assaulted Shet with a wooden rib. The complainant further alleged that Pradeep Volvoikar damaged his gold chain and took away a broken piece of it.
The case has been registered at Vasco Police Station, and the investigation has been assigned to LPSI Priyanka Patil.
