Margao: Maina Curtorim Police have registered a case against three persons in connection with an alleged assault and robbery incident reported from Belloy, Nuvem.
The case was registered based on a complaint filed by Prashant Bandodkar, a resident of Nuvem, who stated that the incident occurred on February 3, 2026, at around 1 pm at Belloy, Nuvem.
According to the complaint, the accused — Jacob M. Thomas, a resident of Belloy, Nuvem, Srikant Tadepalli, and Rashid Ansari, a resident of Panaji — allegedly acted with common intention and assaulted the complainant. Jacob M. Thomas and Srikant Tadepalli allegedly slapped and punched the complainant, while Rashid Ansari is accused of restraining him and further assaulting him with slaps, kicks, and fist blows when the complainant attempted to flee towards his house.
The complainant sustained injuries, including damage to his teeth, and his Vivo mobile phone was allegedly taken away during the incident.
Further investigation in the case is in progress and is being carried out by ASI Rajendra Sangodkar of Maina Curtorim Police Station.
