ANJUNA: In a major interstate breakthrough, Anjuna Police have arrested three men from Haryana in Rajasthan in connection with an attempted murder case that occurred earlier this month in Nagoa, Bardez.
The incident took place on October 1, 2025, when Ashok (31), a resident of Nagoa, was brutally attacked with an iron rod by Bagh Singh (33) and his associates following a dispute allegedly linked to gas cylinder delivery operations in the area. The victim sustained severe head and body injuries, and the attackers fled Goa soon after the assault.
Following a detailed investigation and technical surveillance, Anjuna Police traced the accused to Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, where a team successfully apprehended Radheshyam (31), Lekhram (30), and Sunil (29) — all natives of Haryana.
Police stated that the accused had been moving across states in an attempt to evade arrest. The trio will be brought to Goa for further interrogation and legal proceedings.
The case has been registered under Section 109(1) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, at Anjuna Police Station.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of PI Suraj Gawas, with guidance from SDPO Mapusa Wilson D’Souza and Superintendent of Police (North) Rahul Gupta, IPS.
Further investigation is underway to uncover additional details and verify the involvement of other possible suspects.
