BORIM: Ponda Police have registered a case following a road accident at Borim Bridge that left three persons injured. The case was filed on the basis of a complaint by HC Vinod Naik (5620) of Ponda Police Station.
According to police, the incident occurred on October 26, 2025, around 8:15 p.m., when the accused, Saish Phadte, a resident of Betkem, Marcel, Ponda, was driving a Wagon R car in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Ponda towards Margao. Upon reaching Borim Bridge, the Wagon R collided with an XUV car from the rear, resulting in injuries to multiple occupants.
The Wagon R passenger, Sudhakar Wagmare of Khandola, Marcel, sustained bodily injuries, while Rayden Rodrigues and Emma Rodrigues, both residents of Dharmapur, Navelim, who were in the XUV, also suffered injuries in the impact.
Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of HC Vinod V. Naik of Ponda Police Station.
