CANACONA: An unknown accused allegedly stole three laptops from a guest house in Devabag, Canacona, during the intervening night of December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026, police said.
According to Canacona Police, the theft took place between 10.00 pm on December 31 and 3.30 am on January 1 at Micasa By The Meadows Guest House. The complaint was lodged by Tushar Turkar, a resident of Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh.
Police said the accused gained entry into an unlocked dormitory room and decamped with three laptops — an Apple MacBook Pro 13 belonging to the complainant, an Apple MacBook Air 13 belonging to his friend Adarsh Anand, and a Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 5 belonging to Mohit Zindal. The total value of the stolen laptops has been estimated at approximately ₹1.80 lakh.
A case has been registered at Canacona Police Station, and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Ajit Velip.
