VERNA: In a late-night burglary, unidentified persons allegedly broke into a rented room at Verna and stole three mobile phones worth around ₹30,000 belonging to the occupants.
The incident occurred between 12.30 am and 4.30 am on October 15, when the complainant, Shreechand Nisad, a resident of Verna and native of Uttar Pradesh, was asleep with his roommates. The thieves reportedly entered the room and decamped with an Oppo mobile phone belonging to Nisad and two Vivo phones belonging to his roommates.
Verna police have registered an offence under Sections 331(4) and 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation is being carried out by PSI Mahesh Bhomkar under the supervision of PI Anand Shirodkar and guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
